This picture was taken while I was waiting for the go signal at the corner of P. Burgos and Roxas Blvd. I thought the palm trees planted around the monuments are inappropriate as they will grow tall in no time and will obscure the older and nicer monument. There is a reason for this as I discovered later. The monument to Cory is obviously out of proportion as the head, hands and feet are all out of proportion. The monument to Benigno Aquino seems alright from a distance until closer inspection. The over-designed and busy pedestals where the bronze sculptures are mounted are new.
